Oh Sweet Wonder.... Green Plaid McCall's 7627

Happy Saturday

Where do I begin, lets start off with inspiration. I went to Joann's Fabric Store, and I came across this green plaid fabric and I thought..... YESSSSSSSSSSS this would be perfect for McCall's 7627.

Now granted I had picked up two other plaids, which would have worked just fine, heavier weight but nope I chose the most flimsy fabric of them all.

The pattern takes a lot of fabric, and guess what I threw away the first set of sleeves, so I had to go purchase another 2 yards to finish this, and even though this was the wrong fabric to use, you got to sometimes follow through on a bad idea. And it looks pretty good but it was a mess to sew. But I will be wearing this like the masterpiece it is.

The sleeves gave me the blues because I swear no matter how much I marked the lines, they disappeared, also I couldn't do the baste stitching because it kept messing up my fabric (recall I said I was using the wrong fabric.)

But its done and I'm happy, if I made it again I probably would extend the peplum, I wanted more flair.

Had to practice the

layout on the floor before cutting
